Farewell - Tri Shutter Card

 Hi Friends ,

I made this Tri-Shutter card after being inspired from a lot many other bloggers and going through many tutorials. It is very simple and easy to make and the end result is totally fabulous.
I made it on black back ground and on the front side adorned it with pretty papers, sentiments and embellishments.
On the backside I added empty tags for writing down wishes. It was basically a Farewell card for one of my team mates and she absolutely loved the thought that in today's age of e-greetings some one had actually hand-made her a card!

Hope you all like it!

  7. Hi there,

This is some tremendous work! You are very creative. :)

I had a couple of questions. I was very inspired by your work and tried to create one of my own. I used a card of size 28" x 22". I didn't realise that I'd need to modify and trim the card to get dimensions that are befitting for a tri fold shutter card. So, I was wondering if you knew about a regular proportion of dimensions that we need to stick to in order to create this card.

For instance, the most common tri fold shutter card example I have seen is one that's done with a 12" x 5.5" cardstock. How do I translate the same proportions to a bigger card? If you could give some tips regarding that, it would be of immense help! :)

The other question I had was about the kind of card base you used in this project. I used a large-ish cardstock and it ended up bring slightly flimsy. Yours looks extremely stable. So could you kindly let me know if you used some cardboard kind of material or if it's something else altogether. Also, if it's a thick material, how do you score and bend the same?

Thank you so much for your time. Hope to hear back from you!

    Have a great day! :)
