Book Of Love!

Hi Friends,

A quick post today to share with you a Album which we made for my Bhaiya and Bhabhi's Marriage Anniversary :)

Its the Book of Love as we call it. The new age album with space to put in photos as well as wishes from our loved ones. The book is covered with glittery yellow paper and is adorned with embellishments like pearls, butterflies, flowers and velvet paper.

The inside has 10 pockets which are stamped from outside. They have 1 red color tag each which have photo on one side and a sentiment on the other.

Hugs to All,
Rohini :)

Happy Birthday - Napkin fold card!

Hello Friends,

2nd post of the day!

Special fold cards always inspire me to try them . Tri-shutter was the first one and now this. Here I would like to share the Napkin Fold card which I made for a friends birthday. My better half and me were in a dilemma about what to gift our friend and my husband finally suggested - handmade it should be!
So the search for the proper card type began and after surfing the net for Special Fold Cards, I came upon this. Its quite simple but when layered with beautiful coordinating and contrasting colors , it looks almost magical. Also since it was supposed to be made for a guy we kept the colors and shape to be - blue and geometric. So nothing explicit but totally masculine!

I have used pearls here to embellish the corners and some pretty patterned paper to cover the cross sections. The center part has a background image stamped in it which reads Happy Birthday. I have added 2 corners to it too.

The card is held together with a band which has a sentiment written on it - Happy Birthday. It is tied together with a flurry of colorful ribbons. Our friend really liked it :)

Hope you had a good time going through the pics.

Farewell - Tri Shutter Card

 Hi Friends ,

I made this Tri-Shutter card after being inspired from a lot many other bloggers and going through many tutorials. It is very simple and easy to make and the end result is totally fabulous.
I made it on black back ground and on the front side adorned it with pretty papers, sentiments and embellishments.
On the backside I added empty tags for writing down wishes. It was basically a Farewell card for one of my team mates and she absolutely loved the thought that in today's age of e-greetings some one had actually hand-made her a card!

Hope you all like it!

Happy Birthday - Folding Card

Hello Again dear Friends ,

I am here to share with you a folding card which I made for a team mate and friend's wife's Birthday. All he wanted was to surprise her with something handmade and personal - and this is what I made him.

The card has 4 folds. The first and the last have space to hold personal messages and sentiments like "Happy Birthday" and "You Complete Me".

The inner side has space for 2 sentiments apt for the occasion.

The 2 folds in the middle have frames to hold pictures. They can be slid out and be changed as and when desired.

The folding card is held together with a satin ribbon. Somehow , I am too fond of ribbons and pearls :) They add such grace and softness to any craft!

And again , the customized box. I just don't let my dear husband rest in peace :)

~~ Thanks for visiting

Birthday Bonanza

And I got the chance to enthrall one more person on his birthday :)

I prepared this folding card which has pockets to hold message mats and 6 place holders for photos.
The front is adorned with doilies , hand made butterflies and a bright red heart made using quilled paper. To add to the small details , I adorned it with white pearls.

The next side of the folding card has a sentiment written on it.

All the message mats are bordered and made delicate with the pearly hangings.

The card is given folded with a black satin ribbon.

For the wall hanging I decided to do 3 frames : 2 rectangular and 1 elliptical.

The 2 rectangular frames are similar with butterflies cut off golden embossed papers and made delicate with golden glitter. To add dimension to the frame I adorned them with wooden embellishments. The flowers are quilled and made prettier with pearls.

The elliptical frame has shaded quilled flowers and is made more delicate looking with doilies and pearls on the sides.
