Diwali Delight - 2013

Hello Friends,

First things first! Wish you a Happy Diwali :)
Here is a small something I made in the front of my house on the eve of Diwali.
Basic geometric shapes - filled with colorful flower petals and bordered with the pristine white rangoli powder.

I made it late in the afternoon and here is the pic from evening after the diyas adorned it and the lights surrounded it :) Better half always does a great job with the lights :)

Let me know if you liked it :)

Happy Diwali ! - Pretty Paper Cards

Hello Friends,

Its the festive time again :)
I think its been so long since I have posted some original greeting cards to friends and family members. So me and my dearest husband sat down and completed this mammoth task in just one night. (Call me a lazy bum of not completing things on time!).

These are simple cards with lots of layering , bright color papers and bling! The cover has a simple diya on it which signifies light , lots of hope and brightness. The inset is again layered. It has a simple " Happy Diwali" sentiment with Lord Ganesha in the background. The upper leaf is adorned very simply with 2 lines of pearls. Space is left here to write personal messages.

A ribbon is entwined near the fold to give it the royal look. Glitter corners are added on the cover to make it more appealing. Have a look :

Wishing all of a you a very Happy Diwali. :). I hope these cards bring a smile on the faces of the people who receive it.

Love,
Rohini.
